Federer, Djokovic, Nadal Qualify for World Tour Finals

In addition to reclaiming the ATP World No. 1 ranking by winning his seventh Wimbledon title, Roger Federer qualified for the 2012 World Tour Finals, the ATP’s year-end championships for the top 8 players in the world.

Though Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal both dropped down a spot in the ATP rankings – to No. 2 and No. 3 respectively – they both also qualified for the World Tour Finals after Wimbledon.

The World Tour Finals defending champion Federer has qualified for 11 consecutive year-end championships, winning the tournament six times. Nadal has qualified for eight consecutive championships, but has never won the title. Djokovic has qualified six times, winning the title in 2008.

The World Tour Finals will take place this year in London’s O2 Arena from November 5 through November 12.
