Report: Federer Will Play 2012 Shanghai Masters

According to Chinese reports, World No. 1 Roger Federer will play in Shanghai, despite comments after Davis Cup that he might reevaluate his fall schedule.

“I’m wounded, tired, exhausted,” Federer said after the Swiss Davis Cup tie against Germany. “I need some time off right now, and then we’ll see where I go from here. Nothing’s been decided for the rest of the year. Even though there’s a plan in place, that plan might change.”

The report also suggests Federer will be bringing his family with him to Shanghai.
